If you’re at a loss as to how to spend an evening on the island, this is the site for you! It lists various restaurants, clubs, bars open late, and different events that go late into the nights.

Okinawa Story (Okinawa Tourist Information Web Site)

This is your one-stop shop for all information tourist related in Okinawa. Here, you can find information about the most famous tourist destinations on the island, upcoming traditional events, and information about how to arrange tours and trips to the outer islands. They also have many brochures available to download for free.

Okinawa Yardsales

If you are looking to buy or sell gently used second-hand items, this is the place to look. Also known as “Bookoo.com”, this is a website mostly populated by American military, but open to everyone on the island. You can find everything from used television sets to makeup and clothing, as well as volunteer and job listings.

Surviving in Japan

This is a great website that explains how to navigate some of the difficult things about living in Japan generally. It's defining feature are the "how-to guides that make your life in Japan easier", which cover everything from practical issues such as how to make a bank transfer, to more lighthearted guides about how to pick out sunscreen. It's a great all around resource with much to offer foreigners in Japan, especially those with limited Japanese skills.
