“Fascination of Science” Exhibition Opening
2024年1月30日 (火) 11:00An opening ceremony for the photo exhibition “Fascination of Science” will take place at 11:00 in the Tunnel Gallery on Tuesday, January 30.
This exhibition by renowned German photographer Herlinde Koelbl features portraits of 41 Nobel Prize Laureates and famous scientists from Japan and abroad as well as an interactive corner for participants to post their own visions. OIST Adjunct Professor Svante Pääbo’s portrait is featured in this exhibition.
At the opening ceremony, remarks will be made by President Markides; as well as Axel Karpenstein, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Centre for Research and Innovation Tokyo (DWIH); and Prof. Till Weber, Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Okinawa. Stefan Speidel, curator of the exhibition, will also be in attendance.
