Course Design

A project-oriented course designed to teach computational neuroscience based on the STEPS, NEURON, Brian, NEST and Python software packages.

  • Lectures introducing basic modeling methods (week 1)
  • Lectures by world leading experts covering a wide range of computational and experimental neuroscience topics
  • Hands-on tutorials of modeling software
  • Independent modeling or data analysis projects proposed by participant
  • Individual tutoring

There are no tuition costs. OIST will cover accommodation and food of all selected course participants. Partial travel costs of most participants can be covered by OIST. OIST will help with arranging visas, if necessary.
