What is Strength Circuit Trainng?

Intimidated by the weight room? Want to find new ways to get stronger? … This class will help you improve your strength and condition your muscles via a range of different exercises. These exercises will utilize a range of fitness equipment such as dumbbells, kettlebells etc., as well as traditional bodyweight exercises.

One focus of this class will be to progressively overload each week, as continually challenging and stressing our muscles with higher weights will elicit a greater response, thus increasing muscle mass and strength. Moreover, during this class, there will be a strong focus on the correct form and execution of each weighted exercise. As this will allow participants to correctly utilize the exercises learned during this class within their own personal workouts.

Overall, this class will improve muscle tone, improve physical fitness and endurance, and improve your cardiovascular performance.

Bring:

Yoga mat, water bottle and indoor shoes

I certify that I am in good health to participate in any fitness related activity hosted by OIST Recreation Services and will sign the liability waiver.
Please honor your registration by attending class because numbers are limited due to covid-19. If there is a need to cancel, please cancel in 48 hours prior to the session so we can give your spot to a person on the waiting list.
If you are not vaccinated, we will ask that you kindly register and take a weekly PCR test and understand that there are risks associated with exercise without masks.
