OIST's mission is "to provide internationally distinguished research and education and contribute to the promotion of Okinawa”. How can OIST, a world-leading research institution based on original and open-ended ideas, contribute to innovation in Okinawa?
This event will focus on the theme of "agriculture" and will introduce the challenges in the field, OIST's research activities, and start-up initiatives, while considering how research and local industrial activities can interact and create innovation in Okinawa.
This event is co-hosted by AgVenture Lab, with which OIST has a partnership agreement, and Okinawa Agricultural Cooperative (JA Okinawa).
This event is recommended for those who:
- are actively involved in agriculture-related activities
- are interested in the relationship between research and the local community
- want to learn more about OIST
