Course Catalog and Credit Requirements


Elective courses currently on the catalog can be found by clicking "Elective Courses" above; mandatory courses, off-catalog, and other learning opportunities are found under the "Other Learning" button, and archived descriptions of previous years' courses and degree requirements are available under the "Previous Years" button.  

On the list of elective courses, click on the course number (far left) to link to the course description and other information. Click on the professor's name (far right) to link to their biography.

This list is for advice only and is subject to change as new courses are added or existing courses deleted. Not every course will be offered every year. Some electives are offered every second year: the table shows the years they are offered in Notes column.  Contact Curriculum and Programs Section for more information.

Course Change Requests

Course changes are possible until the end of the first calendar month of each term (September, January, May) without penalty. Change requests made after the deadline attract a Withdraw or Withdraw: Fail grade.  Please discuss with your mentor and submit a request to enroll in or withdraw from a course to the Graduate School using this form: Course Enroll/Withdrawal Form

  • Electives: 2 credits per normal course, 1 credit for special courses (Independent Study, Special Topics, Workshops). 
  • Mandatory: 9 credits for Lab Rotations, 1 credit for Thesis Proposal, 1 credit for Professional Development I, 1 credit for Professional Development II
