Title:
Polycomb in gene activation

Abstract:
Polycomb group (PcG) epigenetic factors are well known to mediate gene silencing of development-related genes via at least two distinct catalytic activities for histone tails. Our recent studies revealed some variant forms of PcG complexes are involved in transition of transcriptional status rather than maintenance of silencing suggesting further complexity of PcG actions during development.
