Title:
4D chromatin dynamics in viral infection
Abstract:
The spatial organization of chromatin facilitates genome function, by responding dynamically to environmental stress. However, it is unknown how 4D chromatin dynamics (3D over time) respond to viral infection and contribute to or modulate the disease pathogenesis. Loop formation is explained by a loop extrusion model, in which CTCF functions as boundary and cohesin loads onto CTCF binding sites. In the present study we show that influenza virus protein interacts to nuclear protein, resulting in the activation of host genes responsible for virus replication through cohesion-mediated loop formation., which could be a novel therapeutic target for influenza virus infection.
Host:
Prof. Tadashi Yamamoto
We hope to see many of you at the seminar.
