Children's School of Science for Elementary School Students
Date: Monday 19th August - Friday 23rd August
Time: 9am - 10:30am
Who can participate?: 1st-6th grade elementary school students in Onna.
Participation Fee: 2,000 JPY/person
Teachers: OIST researchers, students and staff
How to apply: Please register on the website or fill the application form and either fax it or hand it in at OIST or Onna Village office.
Junior Science Program for Junior High School Students
Date: Tuesday 20th August and Wednesday 22nd August
Time: 2pm - 4pm
who can participate?: 1st-3rd grade junior high school students in Onna.
Participation Fee: 2,000 JPY/person
Teachers: OIST researchers, students and staff
How to apply: Please register on the website or fill the application form and either fax it or hand it in at OIST or Onna Village Office.
On the First day of the Program
Participants of Preschool and 1-6th Grade Classes
Please come to the venue by 8:30am and pay the participation fee at the reception.
Participants of Junior Science Program
Please come to the venue by 1:30pm and pay the participation fee at the reception.
Notifications from Each Class
1st-2nd Grade Class Life in Water
Day 1 （Mon 19th Aug）
This class will go to the OIST Marine Science Station.
The bus will depart the Onna Community Center at 9am and bring the children back to the Community Center after the class, at approximately 10:30am.
Day2 （Tue 20th Aug）
Class will be held at 1:30pm-4:30pm. It will be an outdoor activity, so please make sure to bring the things below.

- Water Bottle
- Towel
- Clothes for Change
- Sun Block
- Marine Shoes
Day 3 （Wed 21st Aug)
No class.
1st-3rd Grade Class Science Around Us
No special announcements.
3rd-4th Grade Class A Sea Animals
Day 2 (Tue 20th Aug)
This class will go to the OIST Marine Science Station.
