OIST Schooling Seminar

OIST will be hosting a Schooling Options Seminar on Saturday March 7^th from 14:00 – 16:00 in Conference Center Meeting Room 1, 2 and 3. Representatives will be joining us from a range of International Schools to introduce their programs and answer your questions.

The Art of Storytelling Through Hula - Hawaiian Cultural Lecture

OIST members and the local Okinawan community are invited to a lecture on The Art of Storytelling Through Hula and performances by three local Okinawan Hula studios.

Speaker: Manaiakalani Kalua 

Performances by: Kalehua Hula Studio, Kailua Hula Studio, and Hālau Hula Uʻi Hula Studio

Monday, August 19th at 7pm in the OIST auditorium. The event will be translated from English to Japanese.

Language Exchange Potluck

Did you just finish a language course this semester? Are you interested in practicing English or Japanese but don't have time to take a class?

Come to the potluck this Friday from 12-1 PM and meet a new language exchange partner! We ask that you bring a dish to share (main dish, appetizer, snack, dessert or drink are all OK) and come prepared to chat.
