Registration for online get together

On July 29th the OIST Graduate School will hold an online get together between current students at OIST and incoming PhD students who join OIST in September 2022 and January 2023.

If you are interested to get to know each other in a casual online environment, please submit the webform by July 27th, 2022. 

We will use the platform gather.town for the online event. There is no registration required for gather.town, you just need to create an avatar, before entering the virtual space.

Session 1:

9:00AM - 10:00AM (JST) - moderated by Graduate School staff

10:00AM - 11:00AM (JST) - additional time for students to network without moderation by Graduate School Staff

Session 2:

5:00PM - 6:00PM (JST) - moderated by Graduate School staff

6:00PM - 7:00PM (JST) - additional time for students to network without moderation by Graduate School Staff

We are looking for student facilitators who would be willing to moderate the conversation between the participants at one of the virtual tables. It would be a group of 6-10 people depending on the overall number of participants. We would be grateful to have student facilitators and regular participants for the time slots moderated by Graduate School staff as well as for the time slots that are not moderated by Graduate School staff. Please indicate your choice in the time slot section.
Describe yourself in 3 words! It can be anything you feel comfortable sharing, such as hobbies, favorite food/books/movies, research or places you would love to visit.
Let us know, whether there are specific topics you would like to talk about. It could be related to research, life in Okinawa or administrative matters.
