Language Seminar Series: Basic Japanese Grammar

Date

Tuesday, January 12, 2021 - 17:00

Location

Zoom- Meeting ID 981 5446 2017

Description

From the Basic 4 Japanese course through the end of the Genki 1 textbook, Japanese grammar becomes significantly more difficult than before. Students must learn many grammar rules for かった past tenses, dictionary form (short form), て form of verbs and the た past tense.

The grammar is difficult, but it is absolutely essential for speech, as native Japanese speakers will use all of the above forms in casual conversations. If you've studied Japanese for a while but still find yourself unable to understand what the people around you are saying, your grammar may be the problem.

This seminar is aimed at students in Basic 5 - Intermediate 1 who need to strengthen their grammar to advance to the next level.

Tuesdays from 5-6 PM during the spring semester.
