Title: Physics in two-dimensional electron system in quantum Hall regime
- introduction of our recent research
Abstract:
Quantum Hall effects (QHE), emerging in very low temperature and high magnetic fields, are remarkable macroscopic quantum phenomena observed in two-dimensional electron system.
Though more than 30 years have been passed since QHE was found in 1980, this phenomenon is re-focused again in the topological point of view as typified by topological insulators.
In the seminar, recent our experimental research about QHE in GaAs
quantum well will be briefly introduced, mainly focusing on bilayer system. Dynamic nuclear polarization in the QHE regime in GaAs system, and quantum transport in graphene will be also presented. Finally future prospects of our research will be discussed.
