Abstract

Quantum metrology uses quantum resources, such as entanglement and squeezing, to achieve measurement precision beyond classical limits. In this talk, I will discuss recent advancements in variational quantum algorithms (VQAs) aimed at optimizing these resources to enhance performance in quantum metrology. I will provide an overview of the basic VQAs and illustrate how they can be used to refine quantum states and operations for specific measurement tasks. Through the application of various ansatzes, we have achieved significant enhancements in the precision of measuring multiple parameters. Additionally, I will explore the impact of noise, particularly dephasing, on these algorithms. These tailored variational strategies offer superior solutions compared to traditional methods and present new insights and practical approaches for optimal quantum-enhanced measurement.
