Title:
Phenology: trees and birds under climate change
Abstract:
The long-term phenological records have emerged as an essential tool for studying the present phenomenon of global climate change. A variety of temporal shifts in phenological events have been documented across a range of species, communities and throphic levels. I will present the results of my PhD research on the temporal shifts in phenological phases in trees and birds in the Czech Republic between 1828 and 2010. I will focus on the differences between groups with different life and migratory strategies and the consequences caused by different indices which serve as triggers of onset of their phenological events.
