Title: Climbing in the tree of life

Abstract:

For the first time, we are approaching a relatively detailed picture of the full tree of life. However, major challenges remain, especially in interpreting the tree and understanding what it means for our understanding of macroevolution. In this talk, I will review process from my lab group in visualizing and analyzing the patterns in large phylogenetic trees.
