Location

Description

Quantum Gravity Unit (Neiman Unit) would like to invite you to a seminar by Prof.  Eoin Ó Colgáin from APCTP, South Korea

Title: "Making string theory great again"

Abstract:
The Swampland program in string theory promises to define the landscape of low-energy effective theories allowing a potential UV completion as quantum gravity. This leads to a series of bounds, which in principle can be tested by upcoming experiments. A key cosmological implication is that dark energy is not described by the cosmological constant. We will comment on the Swampland and review tensions in the cosmological model Lambda-CDM that appear to support this picture.
