Dear All,

First of all, we apologize for this short notice.
But we urge all of you who can to block your schedules for July 1, at 2PM.
This is a very special opportunity for people at OIST to learn directly about the most important grant funding agency in Japan.

JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) is famous for their grant called “KAKENHI,” Grants-in Aid for Scientific Research.
Fellowship programs are another well-known and important way in which JSPS supports basic research.
The fact is they provide a variety of support measures for researchers who are dedicated to basic research.

Did you know that JSPS rarely holds sessions for researchers?
They tend to hold seminars for administrators, as their review system is complicated and they regard administrators as critical to the preparation and review of applications.

This time, however, they have prepared a special version of their guidance for OIST researchers, so you can learn about the history of JSPS, International Collaboration Opportunities, tips for the preparation of KAKENHI applications.

All of this will be the latest information, and will come directly from the "source.
Please do not miss this special opportunity to learn which programs best fit your research needs.
There will be a Q&A session at the end, so please come and speak directly talk with the JSPS staff at the seminar.

JSPSは、主な研究資金源である「科研費」の配分機関として知られており、また特別研究員等フェローシップを通して研究人材育成をサポートし、研究者を、研究資金や人材育成、様々な面から支えています。

そんなJSPSですが、申請書をチェック・提出する事務担当向けの説明会を頻繁に開催している一方で、研究者向けの説明会はめったに開催されないのをご存じでしたか？

今回は特別に、OIST研究者のために出張説明会を開催していただけることになりました。
JSPSの目的、そして主要な事業である国際交流プログラム、科研費申請のポイントをJSPSスタッフから直接説明いただけます。科研費等制度改革が検討されているものについても、「現場」からの最新情報をお届けします。

この機会にJSPSの目的そして研究者に何を望んでいるかをぜひ知ってください。今後の提案に生かしていただけることを期待しています。
