Title: Progress in Bi-2223 high-Tc superconductor (HTS) development

Abstract: Bi-2223 High Temperature Superconductor tapes have been commercially produced and used in various proto-type applications for more than 20 years. Continuing efforts have been performed in both fundamental materials science and wire processing to improve the current carrying capacity that is the most important performance to evolve HTS applications. In this presentation, I’ll give a brief overview of Bi-2223 tape fabrication process with some relating topics on materials science issues.
