Carrot Harvest - working with local farmers

EF Polymer, an agritech startup has been working with local farmers in Okinawa to perform pilot tests of their technology - Fasal Amrit - an organic super absorbent polymer made from bio-waste and natural plant material. This polymer improves water retention in soil, reduces leaching of nutrients and enhances crop yield.

They have worked with farmers in Yomitan to plant carrots with their polymer in November, 2022. Their pilot study has proven to be immensely successful and has led to enhanced carrot yield in the farm. The carrots are now ready to be harvested at the end of March.

The EF Polymer team wishes to create an enjoyable event to help the farmers harvest the carrots, and also give back to the community. The OIST POWER Club has teamed up with EF Polymer to organize this community event.
