A Rare Opportunity: Fireside Chat with Dr. Simson Garfinkel
We are thrilled to host Dr. Simson Garfinkel, one of the most influential voices in computing, for an exclusive 1-hour Fireside Chat.
Dr. Garfinkel is a American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), an honor held by only a select group of scholars worldwide. He is the author of 18 books that have shaped the global discourse on AI, privacy, digital forensics, and security, including Database Nation and Practical UNIX and Internet Security, which sold more than 250,000 copies.
His groundbreaking research, seven U.S. patents, and senior roles at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Census Bureau have placed him at the very center of where technology, policy, and society meet.
This is a rare chance to hear directly from a pioneer whose ideas continue to influence governments, corporations, and academia around the world.
We’ll explore:
- The Frictions between Computing and Society
- AI and Computer Security
- Quantum: Promise vs. Practicality
- Translational Research: From Lab to Market
Don’t miss this chance to hear from a prominent thought leader.
