VC Mentoring Hours: Lifetime Ventures

In collaboration with leading venture capital firms, OIST Innovation offers startups and entrepreneurial researchers or students the opportunity to connect directly with venture capitalists for one-on-one mentoring and discussion.
Each round begins with an open seminar-style introduction, where participants can learn about the VC firm's investment focus and characteristics. This is followed by private, closed-door mentoring sessions between startups/researchers/students and the VC representatives.

If the number of applicants exceeds the available slots, OIST Innovation will select participants based on the information provided in the registration form and the strategic fit with the VC.

Mentor

Ryosuke Kimura
Founder & General Partner

Ryosuke is the Founding General Partner at Lifetime Ventures. Prior to Lifetime, he worked for Incubate Fund, a leading seed VC in Japan, where he was involved in supporting more than 40 startups. He has extensive management consulting experience at PwC and KPMG, particularly in the infrastructure and healthcare industries. He is a Board Member of the Japanese Venture Capital Association (JVCA).

Ryusei Yamada
Senior Associate

Joined 2024. Former intern (2020). Worked as an auditor and DX advisor at PwC Japan LLC, serving clients in manufacturing, semiconductors, and real estate funds.  Keio commerce graduate. Certified Public Accountant.
