Under the Japanese government's "Five-Year Startup Development Plan," efforts to encourage startups to expand overseas, such as programs to send entrepreneurs overseas, are expanding in order to create "startups that can compete globally. However, did you know that there are already startups from Okinawa that have gone global?

At this event, JETRO will provide updates on Japanese startups' international reach. We will then hear directly from the ambitious founders of these pioneering local companies as they share their innovative offerings, global opportunities and challenges, and keys to bringing their ventures worldwide. This is a co-organized event of OIST Innovation and RYULAB, center of open innovation at University of Ryukyus.
