Join us for a special Career Talk as part of Researcher Appreciation Month. Three inspiring speakers will share their unique career journeys, followed by an interactive Q&A and casual networking over pizza.

Curious about where a research career can take you? Join us for an inspiring Career Talk where three speakers will share how they turned their passions into unique professional journeys across science, startups, and industry.

Speakers

• Dr. Shunichi Kasahara – OIST Visiting Researcher & Entrepreneur at Sony, exploring “Cybernetic Humanity” and the future of human–computer integration.
• Dr. Shivani Sathish – OIST alumna, founder of Atierra, and current OIST Incubator tenant bringing research to market.
• Dr. Paola Butler-Zanetti – Chemist turned Technology Licensing Specialist at OIST Innovation, with a career spanning industry, startups, and even fire investigation.

The format will feature short talks (5–10 minutes each), an interactive panel Q&A, and plenty of time to connect during our casual pizza networking session.
