1 Conference Platform: OpenCampus

If you have not do so already, please complete your registration by providing all required information in the online platform https://workshops.oist.jp/. We specifically need to know your travel details to arrange local transportation and any dietary requirements (if any) to book the meals. Your prompt response on this would be greatly appreciated.

Airport Transportation on Monday, September 25 & Friday, October 06

Once we know your flight information, we will arrange shared shuttle taxis from the airport to the school venue OIST Seaside House. If you do not need this local transport for any reason, please let us know as well.

For the departures, we will arrange a 10am shuttle to the airport for all participants, which corresponds to the check-out time of the conference venue. If you need an earlier shuttle, we will make additional arrangements based on the information you have provided in the online form.

2 Excursion (Sunday, October 1st)

We are organizing an excursion on Sunday, October 1st, with a local English-speaking guide to two of Okinawa's main attractions: Ocean Expo Park (including Churaumi Aquarium) and Nakijin Castle Remains. The cost for this day trip is 4,000 JPY (incl. all entrance fees and transport), payable in cash at the registration desk. To assist us in planning, please indicate your interest by filling out the web form.  

3 Registration Fee

Please remember to pay the registration fee, as it will cover your accommodation and meals. If you require alternative payment methods, please let us know if you haven't done so already.

* Please note that after the completion of fee payment, there will be a fee of 3.6% if you later decide to cancel and get a refund.
If the cardholder and participant names are different, please contact workshop@oist.jp.
You will receive an email from stripe.com after your payment is completed.

4 OIST Seaside House: Room Sharing Preference

The list of all participants is now available on the CQD2023 website. If you have a preferred partner to share the room with, and have not yet informed us, kindly fill out the web form, so we can make necessary arrangements. Note that this is only possible if we get confirmation from both parties involved. 

5 Two Slides for Poster Preview

During the school, two poster-preview sessions will be held, allowing each presenter two minutes to highlight their posters. Participation is a requirement. To organise this, please send two slides (in PDF format) to cqd@oist.jp by September 17th, which we will have ready to be displayed during the session.

6 Japanese Class and Calligraphy Class

We are planning to have various opportunities for you to interact outside of the lectures, including a class on "Emergency Japanese” and a calligraphy class. Further information will be given during the school, but note that the calligraphy class will carry a fee to cover the materials involved.
