The Community Cooking Series aims to bring the OIST community and residents of Okinawa closer through a shared love of food. Each session will be focused on one dish, taught by someone with a personal connection to the recipe (perhaps you?).

At the opening ceremony, remarks will be made by President Markides; as well as Axel Karpenstein, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Centre for Research and Innovation Tokyo (DWIH); and Prof. Till Weber, Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Okinawa. Stefan Speidel, curator of the exhibition, will also be in attendance.

The OIST Language Section, POWER Club, and Okinawa International University are collaborating to organize a special edition of the Community Cooking Series. 20 students from Okinawa International University will be visiting Onna to participate in a language exchange, cooking class, and finally a Campus Tour of OIST.
