In this talk, I shall critically review the main properties of turbulent flows and compare them with disordered vortex motion in quantum fluids (superfluid helium and atomic Bose-Einstein condensates). In quantum fluids, vorticity is quantized (discrete), not continuous as in ordinary fluids. The natural questions is whether, in the presence of many such quanta, one recovers the classical limit, or other forms of disordered motion arise.
Hope to see many of you at the seminar.
