Science Speed Dating

Once again, we are putting on a Science Speed Dating event! Romance isn’t the goal here – instead, this event provides OIST students and researchers the opportunity to reach out and meet their fellow scientists on campus.

It’s a great opportunity to exchange research ideas, build foundations for collaboration as well as get some practice for networking out in the wider world.

The rules are just like speed dating: you have 2 minutes to introduce each other your topic of research, after which you will switch to a new partner. The event is designed to get thoughtful people talking and practicing how to pitch who they are and what they do! 

It's a high energy environment, but after everyone has met each other, there will be more relaxed free discussion.

This is a BYOB event. Basic catering will be provided but feel free to bring your own beverage.
