Mission Statement

The OIST Researcher Community (ORC) is an organization of all Postdoctoral Scholars, Research Fellows, Staff Scientists, Group Leaders, Research Specialists, and Research Unit Technicians at OIST. The ORC is represented by the elected members of the ORC Council (voluntary work).

By bringing and discussing issues of concern to the administration, executives, and faculty, the ORC Council works to improve the well-being of researchers at OIST. The ORC also aims to enrich the intellectual and social lives of OIST researchers by sponsoring and organizing academic and social events.

Everyone is encouraged to contribute to the development and shaping of the community.

OISTは、ダイナミック、国際的、かつ協調的な機関です。最も重要なことは、常に適応し、成長し続ける事です。

ORCは、管理責任者や教職員へ懸念となる事柄を提示することによって、 OIST研究者の福利が常に最優先事項であるよう取り組んでいます。 ORCはまた、イベントの主催、開催をすることによりOIST研究者の知的及び社会生活を豊かにすることを目指しています。
