Introduction to HPC and scientific computing - Session 1

At OIST we provide high-performance computers and storage for your scientific computing. We will show you how to make best use of the high-performance resources at OIST. You don't need any previous experience. This is the first of two sessions.

In the first session we show you how computing clusters are organized and introduce the fundamental concepts of parallel computing. We introduce the resources we have available here at OIST, and we'll quickly try logging in to Deigo, our main cluster. Please bring a laptop. Also, please register for access to Deigo.
