Description
In his seminar, Pr. Frith will show two examples of deciphering subtle patterns in DNA evolution by probability calculations. First, ancient and highly-degraded sequence “fossils” reveal a Paleozoic ecosystem of transposable elements. Second, complex sequence rearrangements causing disease.
