Title: “ Crystallographic Insights into an Adenosine Deaminase and a Sialic Acid Activator”
Abstract:
An in-depth structural analysis of two very different but interesting enzymes will be presented. The catalytic mechanism and basis for substrate preference of both an RNA deaminase (human ADAR2) and a sialic acid activator (Neisseria meningitidis CMP-sialic acid synthetase) are clearly elucidated through extensive protein crystallography and biochemical characterization.
Host: Prof. Matthias Wolf, Molecular Cryo-Electron Microscopy Unit (Wolf Unit)

We Look forward to seeing many of you at the seminar.
