Fireside Chat: Building a Dream Team for University Startups
Date

Description
Join us for an informal lunchtime "fireside chat" with Dr. Margaret Dah-Tsyr Chang, Professor in the Department of Medical Science at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) in Taiwan. Dr. Chang founded a cell and tissue 3-D imaging startup company, Jello-X, based on her research at NTHU.
This is a unique opportunity to have a casual and open discussion about starting up a company based on university research.
- How do I know the best time to start a company?
- Do I need to write a business plan?
- How do I build a founding "dream" team for my startup?
In addition, a few faculty and staff from the NTHU Global Research and Industry Alliance will be on hand to discuss opportunities for OIST researchers to access hi-tech facilities and resources in Taiwan.
Bring your lunch and your curiosity about the world of academic-industry collaborations and university startups. Open to all. No registration required.
Sponsored by the Technology Development & Innovation Center.
