Beyond Academia: Startup Careers at OIST

Curious about career opportunities beyond academia? Join us to hear directly from four OIST-connected startups—GenomeMiner, Ekei Labs, Surzen Biotherapeutics, and Qubitcore—about their journeys from initial ideas to growing companies.

The speakers will discuss why they chose to build their startups close to OIST, introduce their teams—including members who previously studied or worked at OIST—and share what it is really like to build or work for a startup.

The event aims to show how stronger connections between OIST and local startups can help share talent and experience, create new collaborations, and strengthen Okinawa’s innovation ecosystem. These growing companies may also offer job opportunities for spouses and the wider OIST community.
