HiSci Lab is an annual science educational outreach program to inspire high school girls in Okinawa Prefecture to choose a career in science.
Workshop Overview
The Science Project for Ryukyu Girls Science Camp, which began in 2014, was renamed as HiSci Lab in 2021. In order to support the advancement of women into the STEM field, we encourage female high school students in Okinawa Prefecture to continue their education in STEM. "Hi-Sci" is an acronym for "High School" and "Science". The pronunciation is the same as Okinawan greeting, "Haisai!”
The theme for this year is “Okinawa = Longevity? Uncover the secret of healthy longevity!”
