[Seminar] Title: Using Mechanistic Experiments and Macroecological Models to Understand ant Biodiversity in a Changing World

Date

Tuesday, December 5, 2017 - 15:00 to 16:00

Location

C209, Center Bldg.

Description

Why does the number of species vary from place to place? Surely climate matters, but the climate is changing. In this talk, I explore the drivers of spatial variation in ant biodiversity, using natural and manipulative experiments. I demonstrate that a multi-faceted approach can link local mechanisms to global patterns, more or less.
