OIST Computational Neuroscience Course (OCNC) 2023
The aim of the OIST Computational Neuroscience Course is to provide opportunities for young researchers with theoretical backgrounds to learn up-to-date neurobiological findings, and those with experiment backgrounds to have hands-on experience in computational modeling.
In addition to lectures there is also an important hands-on component: students work on a modeling or data analysis project under guidance of a tutor.
A project-oriented course designed to teach computational neuroscience based on the STEPS, NEURON, Brian, NEST and Python software packages.
- Lectures introducing basic modeling methods (week 1)
- Lectures by world leading experts covering a wide range of computational and experimental neuroscience topics
- Hands-on tutorials of modeling software
- Independent modeling or data analysis projects proposed by participant
- Individual tutoring
