Description

Japan is famous for the beauty and intricacy of its tea ceremonies. These ceremonies are choreographic rituals of preparing green tea (“Matcha”) together with traditional Japanese sweets. On Saturday, June 20th, OIST is fortunate to have Tea Master Miyahira preform a traditional ceremony on campus. At this ceremony, participants will learn not only the proper way to prepare and drink tea, but also the history and meaning of the tools used in the ceremony. Everyone is welcome to join and experience this unique aspect of Japanese culture!

Price: Adults: 1,000 yen

 

Families with children: 1st child is free, additional children will be 500 yen each.

裏千家教授者の方々によるお茶会がOISTにて行われます。茶席のマナーや、和菓子を楽しむ事ができます。

会費: 大人1000円 子供は一家族につき1名無料。2名以上は一人500円追加。
