Description
[Due to the typhoon, English session has been rescheduled to Tuesday August 25]
Profs. Murakami and Akita from Tokyo Institute of Technology will visit OIST and will review a couple of KEKENHI Grant applications, drafted by OIST researchers.
They will discuss how these applications might be strengthened. E.g., They will offer practical advice, such as “If I were you, I would change the explanation like this…..”.
This will be an extraordinary opportunity to observe impartial experts' reactions to your grant application.
You might be surprised that your idea sometimes cannot be understood the way you intend to.
You can only benefit from this expanded perspective, which is essential for obtaining high evaluation from peer reviewers.
They will also be able to discuss the KAKENHI GRANT process, generally.
KAKENHI is, by far, the biggest accessible pool of grant-in-aid funds in Japan. Profs. Murakami and Akita will help you to figure out how to tap this resource.
Please do not miss this limited opportunity.
Come and ask anything, any questions that you may have in your mind concerning Japanese grants and the review and selection process.
