Team Challenge Labs
Lab 1: Prism view
Perception is a complex task that requires coordination between sensory organs and the brain. This coordination is adjusted dynamically. If, for instance, a person wears prismatic goggles that shift the visual field, then the brain will adapt to this new visual field after a while. In this lab, students will measure the timing and extent of this adaptation.
Lab 2: Stroop effect
This lab introduces students to the Stroop effect, a psychological phenomenon that raises questions about how the brain allocates resources in information processing. Students will complete several versions of the Stroop task and thus collect data that will allow them to investigate various aspects of this phenomenon.
