Title: Review of some basic features of the SM and of GUTs
Abstract:
We review some basic features of the Standard Model and SU(5) Grand Unification Theories. In the first couple of lectures we shall briefly review the renormalisation group techniques, the Goldstone theorem, and the BEH mechanism. Supersymmetry and string model building will not be discussed.
