"Evolution as a shortcut to useful inventions"

Arcadia is a science company aiming to transform evolutionary innovations into real-world solutions by openly developing more efficient, replicable, and sustainable ways to leverage the biology of diverse organisms. Join the founders, Seemay and Prachee, for a presentation about Arcadia’s unique position as a for-profit startup incubator and discovery research platform aimed at uncovering innovations hidden across the tree of life.

Seemay Chou (CEO) and Prachee Avasthi (CSO) are scientists and co-founders of Arcadia Science, which applies an evolutionary lens to accelerate the purposeful discovery of nature’s greatest innovations. Seemay is also the acting Executive Director of Astera Institute and Chairperson of the board at The Navigation Fund. Prachee is a longstanding champion of open science as President of ASAPBio and Head of Open Science at Astera Institute.
