Call for submissions: Art Exhibition "Synergy"

The “Synergy” art exhibition was born out of a desire to showcase the artistic talents of the OIST community to the Okinawan community and to visitors from the mainland. Moreover, the exhibition aims to foster stronger relationships between OIST and the Okinawan community by promoting the development of artistic expression.

We call for submission of artwork from OIST students, faculty members, employees, and their immediate family members. The items can be paintings (watercolors, oils, and acrylics), calligraphy, graphic arts, installations, and other artistic forms. The items approved by the organizers will be presented for the exhibition.

Let's stimulate our scientific and artistic curiosity across our diverse backgrounds and synergize with the Okinawan community. We hope that this very first collaboration with a local gallery will be the wonderful start of an empowering annual event!

Required details of your art piece: 

• A photo of your artwork in a high resolution (jpg).
• The measurements of your artwork.
• Your name, a short BIO, and your country of origin.
• The title of your artwork.
• A short explanation of your artwork to be displayed along with the title.

Optional:

• The price of your artwork, for those who wish to sell.
