Description

Seminar: "Street Savvy Science: Job Search Strategies that Work"

"For the technical professional, looking for a job is always difficult, because “soft skills” are not taught at the university in science and engineering programs. To make it worse, traditional job seeking skills like responding to ads don’t work very well if the economy isn’t in good shape. In this presentation you will hear about which tools to utilize and which skills to develop that will help you stand out from the pack in these extraordinary times. Believe that responding to companies’ internet websites is a good approach? Better think again... That’s last on Jensen’s list, and he’ll tell you exactly what happens when a resume or CV enters the pipeline via a company website. In this seminar, you’ll get the take-home skills necessary to be completely street savvy about your job opportunities and your career over the next few years."
