OIST workshop "A World of Microbiota"

Date: July 4, 2019

Venue: C209, Center Building

Research on gut microbiota is an extremely active topic. A variety of bacteria are living in our gut. Some are called good bacteria and some bad bacteria. They affect our immune system, and many physiological processes including the central nervous system, impacting on behavior. They also affect energy metabolism, obesity, and diabetes. How they function has been addressed at cellular and molecular levels. Today, we hear about these from internationally well recognized, leading scientists working in Japan.
