Drawing at Lunch Class

Are you interested in learning how to draw, or improve the drawing skills you have? Join my weekly class during lunchtime. Each class we will do a short exercise to help you learn or practice a specific drawing skill.

Some examples of what we will learn:

- Sketching

- How to see shapes like an artist

- How to adapt what you see onto your paper

- Shading

- Perspective

- How to turn off the part of your brain that says “I’m not good at drawing”

- And more!

Classes will be held:

Every Tuesday, starting January 14th, 2025

Beginner Class: 11:40 - 12:10
For students with no drawing experience, or those wanting to start from the beginning.

Intermediate Class: 12:20 - 1:00
For students with previous drawing experience or those who are currently enrolled in the Beginner Class.

In the room next to the ATM (C222)

You can bring your lunch if you want

Each lesson costs ¥500

Classes will be taught in English

At the moment, classes are scheduled to go from January 14th through the end of April. If there is enough interest to continue the class at that point, I will continue the class further.

Please register below if you would like to join the class. Even if you cannot come every week, please register anyway. Registration is so I know approximately how many students to prepare for, and so can create an email list to let you know about any changes to the class schedule, etc.

Please bring these materials to each class:

- HB, 2B, 4B pencils

- Kneadable eraser (neri keshigomu)

- Spiral bound drawing pad (B5 or A4 size)

- Clear A4 plastic file folder

- Dry erase marker

Materials can be purchased at Daiso, Tabata, Makeman, etc. If other materials are required for a specific lesson, I will let you know in advance or provide them for you.

Hope to see you there!
