Short description: The Presence Zone is an experiential training intensive designed to enable you to access peak performance presence when speaking and presenting. Throughout the training, you will create a personal framework to speak with confidence, clarity and connection. The Presence Zone is focused exclusively on the delivery of your content.
The Presence Zone Group Training introduces participants to the Connect 4 Framework, a simple yet effective approach to clarifying your connection with yourself, your content and your audience in the moment of delivery. This results in clear, concise and compelling communication.
Leaning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
- Identify and adjust physiological and psychological elements of speaking which may clarify
- and/or compromise your relationship with your audience.
- Use your physical body to access performance presence.
- Apply breathing techniques to increase vocal power and presence.
- Adopt proven strategies for conquering nerves before and during your presentation.
- Align verbal, vocal and visual elements of your communication to create audience trust
- and rapport.
- Create audience centered communication.
Schedule: The workshop consists of 3 modules: Lights - Camera - Action
LIGHTS
During this module, participants will:
- Clarify their reason for speaking
- Tap in to the heart and guts of their message in order to create a firm foundation, clear motivation and focused resolve when they step into the speaking arena.
CAMERA
During this module participants will:
- Work with the ABC’S of speaking (Arrive, Breathe, Connect & Speak)
- Understand how to use their physiology to support their speaking process
- Work with practical tools to manage nerves and anxiety
- Be able to understand and claim their physical environment when speaking
- Have practised how to use their voice to add clarity and conviction to their message
ACTION
During this module participants will:
- Identify their primary audience and objective for their presentation
- Craft their message using the Hero’s Journey structure
- Understand how to take their notes from page to stage
- Understand the importance of rehearsal, warming up and stagecraft
- Step into the spotlight using their touchstone presentation.
Registration is required. 20 participant max. In case there are more than 20 people registered, a waiting list will be created. The priority will be given to Researchers and Students who has been attending previous professional development workshops.
