Title:

An importin mechanism in chronic pain

Abstract:

Dr. Marvaldi studies neurogenetic changes in sensory neurons that can alleviate neuropathic pain.  She investigated responses to acute and chronic pain in importin KO mice. Her talk will show how a specific importin regulates nociception-related genes and how perturbation of this pathway can alleviate chronic pain.
