Title: Cutting-edge optical imaging techniques enabled by organic fluorescent dyes

Abstract:

Photobleaching of the probe dyes is one of the most serious problems in current fluorescence imaging techniques, particularly, for long-term observations of living cells. Prof. Taki’s group has recently developed various fluorophores with outstanding photostability. Prof. Taki will talk about the new design of the dyes they developed, which will be useful for many users of various fluorescence microscopic techniques.
