Tennis Mixed-Skill Doubles Tournament

The OIST Tennis Club is organizing another Mixed-Skill Doubles tournament - everyone is welcome!

Date: Sat., 30 August 2025 (in case of rain the tournament WILL be held on only the indoor courts)

Time: 13:00 - 18:00

Location: Kensou / Okinawa Comprehensive Park in Okinawa city, 40min from OIST (https://maps.app.goo.gl/KDmtfkXCg1HFJsZ26 )

Courts: 4 courts: 2 indoor / 2 outdoor (we will rotate so that no one is in the heat the whole time)

Purpose: to get to know each other and find partners for future play
Mode: "mixed skill" doubles with one experienced and one less experienced player 
(While this tournament is not suitable for absolute beginners, anyone who knows the rules and can hit a ball over the net with some consistency is welcome)

Details:  
o  random drawn teams, EACH round, i.e. you will be playing with various partners 
o  Several groups or round-robin format, depending on number of participants 
o  Four game matches, or full sets - depending on number of participants
o  Each player will play at least 4 matches, and if qualified, in the Finals round
o  Final round on the same day (may be postponed to Sunday if we run out of time) 

- Entrance fee: 700 Yen to be paid in cash before the tournament. 
- Please bring your own tennis gear as well as water and snacks (optional but encouraged to bring some to share with your team and opponents)
